Lisa Hoppes has been helping families navigate family law matters for 27 years. She is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Lisa received her Juris Doctor Degree from Louisiana State University School of Law in 1993 and is licensed to practice law in both Texas and Louisiana.
Lisa established what is now Hoppes Law Firm in 1994 focusing on criminal defense and family law matters. She discovered that her passion was helping and guiding families through the difficulties presented in divorce matters – child and property issues – as well as modifications, possession and access, child support and establishing paternity . Over the last 26 years, Lisa has built a renowned law firm dedicated exclusively to family law matters.
A frequent lecturer at State Bar of Texas Continuing Legal Education courses across the State, Lisa is highly respected by her peers and the Judiciary. She has been consistently named a “Texas Super Lawyer” by Texas Monthly Magazine. Super Lawyers are in the top 5% of total lawyers in the State of Texas. Lisa is active professionally and in her community. She is currently a Director on the Council for the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. Lisa is a Past President of the Tarrant County Family Law Bar Association and also served as the first female President of the Tarrant County Criminal Defense Association. Lisa is an avid animal lover and is a Past President of Don’t Forget to Feed Me Pet Food Bank, a non-profit organization that keeps owners and their pets together by providing pet food to those in need in the North Texas area.
